‘Corvettes for the Hungry’ car show to benefit food banks

The Abingdon Ruritan Club will hold “Corvettes for the Hungry”—a drive to support local food banks—from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, at the club grounds in Bena.

Members of the Colonial Corvette Club from Williamsburg and the Gloucester-Mathews Corvette Club will have some of their ’vettes—both old and new—on display.

People coming out to the event are encouraged to either make monetary donations or to bring non-perishable food to give to the cause. Checks should be made out to “ARC.” Food and other donations will go to Gloucester County Emergency Management to be distributed as needed to local food banks.
