Community Advent services will be held at noon today, Thursday, Dec. 4, and continue the following two Thursdays, Dec. 11 and 18, at Westville Christian Church, Mathews, sponsored by the Mathews Christian Ministerial Association.
The 30-minute services will have special singing and short messages. Speakers will be the Rev. Angie Hoen of Mathews Chapel UMC today; the Rev. Gary Barker of Kingston Episcopal Parish on Dec. 11, and the Rev. Kristie Askew of Emmanuel, Grace-Providence, and St. Matthew UMCs on Dec. 18....
