Coastwise Design Signs & Screen Printing moved in mid-July from a building on Route 14, North, to a recently renovated structure on Main Street in Mathews.

Partners Dan Ortiz and Robin Farr run the business full-time. They often collaborate on design work. He specializes in making the signs and she specializes in the screen printing.

Ortiz makes all types of wooden, metal, PVC and other signs, including those for buildings, yards and boats.

The screen printing end of the business often involves T-shirts or other apparel, a service popular for local special events and family reunions.

Ortiz moved to a building at North where Farr was already operating a screen printing operation, joining forces more than five years ago. Farr has been in the screen printing business for seven years. Ortiz has more than 30 years’ sign making experience.
