Clement Earl McElro, of Onemo, died on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018.

He was born in Philadelphia on Dec. 21, 1931 to Norman and Zilla McElroy. He grew up in Delaware County, graduating from Haverford Township High School. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War, and served aboard the USS Ruchamkin. He later became a draftsman.

An avid collector, he was well known for his love of motorcycles. He married Deirdre Gilkison on April 8, 1961 in Ventnor, New Jersey. He and Deirdre retired to Mathews County in 1997.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years; his sons, Philip and his wife Mi Sook of Daejon, South Korea, and David and his wife Tracy of New York, New York; his devoted granddaughter, Natalie; his nephew, Pete McElroy, and niece, Nancy Halstead.

No service is planned.
