Lynette Sue Brophy of Gloucester, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 28, 2026. Born in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, on August 14, 1961 to the late Darrell and Shirley Lassila, she is survived by her husband Kevin; son, Chris (Kayla); brothers, Randy (Diane) and Kevin (Cindy Song) Lassila.

Lynette worked at Bethel Elementary School in Gloucester, where she dearly loved her students and fellow staff members. She attended Cornerstone Fellowship Church where she was a beloved member of the congregation and will be greatly missed. Her greatest joys were teaching, worshipping Jesus, and spending time with her husband, son, and daughter-in-law.

Her Celebration of Life service will be held at Cornerstone Fellowship Church on Sunday, September 13, 2026. There will be a time of visitation starting at 2 p.m. with the service beginning at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cornerstone Fellowship Church or Bethel Elementary School.
