CLAUDE GILBERT WHITE SR.

Claude Gilbert White Sr., 74, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017. 

Claude was a one-of-a-kind guy, a long-distance truck driver, an accomplished storyteller and wonderful friend to everyone he met.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1942 to Gilbert and Georgie White. Claude lived in New Point until he married his wife, Janice, and moved to Gloucester.

Claude was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Marion Paul White.

Claude is survived by his wife, Janice; his sons, Craig and his wife Teri, and Claude Gilbert White Jr.; daughter, Linda Watford and her husband Damon; step-children, James Byrum, Beverly Sydenstricker, James Vaught, Shirley Lynch, and 14 grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home, followed by entombment at Windsor Gardens Cemetery & Mausoleum, Dutton.
