The Ware River Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons will hold its 36th annual Christmas Open House tour on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at Kaleda, a home built during the Great Depression on the banks of the Ware River.
Four sessions are available—noon to 1 p.m., 1:30-2:30 p.m., 3-4 p.m. and 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 and are on sale now at The Silver Box, Main Street, Gloucester. Proceeds benefit the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters and other WRCKDS local charities. Built in 1932 by John Tabb DuVal, Kaleda will be adorned for Christmas with floral arrangements and holiday décor, music and a table filled with an array of hors d’oeuvres prepared by WRCKDS members.
