Christian Unity service planned January 22

The Jubilee Churches of Gloucester will hold an Ecumenical Service of Prayer for Christian Unity at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22 at Newington Baptist Church on Main Street. The group is also planning for daily gatherings during the week of Jan. 19 at different churches for scripture reading and prayer, a release said. The Jubilee Churches of Gloucester is made up of communities of faith working together to help people in need, especially those in danger of becoming homeless, the release said. The group includes Abingdon Episcopal, Apostles Lutheran, Bellamy United Methodist, Newington Baptist, New Mount Zion Baptist, St. Therese Roman Catholic, Susanna Wesley United Methodist, Salem Community, and Ware Episcopal churches....
