BZA to consider data pole request Tuesday

The Gloucester County Board of Zoning Appeals will consider three applications during a meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the colonial courthouse.

Stuart Squier of GDNsites on behalf of Celico Partnership, trading as Verizon Wireless, VerizonSouth, Inc., property owner, has requested a special exception for establishment of a temporary, 80-foot high, wooden data pole at 6534 Main Street. The property, located in the Ware Magisterial District, is zoned Village Business (B-2).

Planning director Anne Ducey-Ortiz, who also serves as the interim zoning administrator, said the data pole is being requested for temporary use until the same applicant can place a tower on an adjacent parcel. The BZA will consider two separate applications related to this matter during Tuesday’s meeting, one on the temporary permit and the other for the permanent structure.
