Singer/songwriter Brian Elder, a Gloucester native who now lives in West Point, will perform a concert to mark the release of his latest album, “Passenger Side,” from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, at Lifepoint Christian Church, 8841 Richmond Road, Toano. Elder grew up playing the guitar and singing, and spent the years after graduating from Gloucester High School playing gigs at festivals and bars while working various jobs. His career has taken various directions, including acting and establishing his own film company, but he’s currently concentrating on writing music and performing.
