The Colonial Beekeepers will present a program from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Brent and Becky’s Bulbs, Gloucester, celebrating National Honey Bee Day.
Colonial members will show how to extract honey from the comb, and will provide honey tastings, and products for sale.
Children’s activities will be provided. Here is the schedule:
A talk on the honey bee, 10:30 a.m.; opening the hive, 11:30 a.m.; talk on hive products, 12:30 p.m.
Also, Gloucester Master Gardeners will discuss planting pollinator-friendly gardens. Breezy Hill Meadworks and Beauty by Nature honey-based products will be among vendors. Lunch options will be available.
