‘Bird’s Point of View’ exhibit featured during First Friday

“A Bird’s Point of View,” an exhibit of works by porcelain artist and printer Dianne Hottenstein, will open at First Friday on Friday, April 2, at Arts on Main.

It will be held from 5-7 p.m., in two, timed-limited sessions at the gallery on Main Street in Gloucester. Reservations are required to attend this event and can be made by calling the gallery.

This body of work goes beyond the typical clay vessel to explore the artist’s response to the world through the eyes of a bird, said a press release. The exhibit will run until April 24.

Hottenstein spent a number of years as an engineer prior to pursuing her BFA in Art from Old Dominion University, said the release. She went on to teach 3D Design, Visual Arts Foundation and Advanced Pottery at the Visual Arts Center of Tidewater Community College in Olde Town Portsmouth.
