Beaverdam Reservoir received several reports of largemouth bass and black crappie being caught from shore and the pier during the past week, using minnows and jigs, according to Park Ranger Elizabeth Keefer.

Other reports included chain pickerel, white perch, bass and crappie being caught from boats using minnows, top-water rigs, and Texas rigs.

Beaverdam Park is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. through April. The park rents watercraft, selling bait and concessions. For more information, call the Ranger Station at 804-693-2107.
