The Gloucester Baystars’ spring soccer season wrapped up this month with teams playing their final games over the weekend of the 13th.
The Hammerheads 13U soccer team finished its season with a domineering 10-1 victory over the OBX Storm. Scoring was led by Connor Duval who was the only one on the team to record a hat trick. Drew West and Aaron Hines both notched two goals. Camden Bower, Bruce Larson and Cole Christensen scored once each. Goalkeeper Elijah Morris had a number of saves and Hayden Arquette and Alphonso Escamilla each had great defensive performances.
The Marlins 14U soccer team finished its season with a 2-2 draw against the Beach FC Explosion on Saturday. The close game saw Ava Santellanes and Emmy Baker score for the Marlins. Baker’s goal was assisted by Kaitlyn Heron.
