Bayside Youth Ballet is offering a tuition-free Summer Dance Experience the week of July 16-20 at the Diggs School of Dance, Gloucester.

The children will learn about dance and be introduced to classical ballet with the goal of providing rich experiences for them to enjoy and encourage an appreciation for the art of dance, a release stated.

The  Summer Dance Experience will consist of a weeklong half-day camp focusing on learning and experiencing the world of dance at no expense to campers. The children will be directed by three professional dance instructors with assistance from dancers from Bayside Youth Ballet, ages 13-18.

Music appreciation and crafts will enhance what the campers are learning about dance. Instructors and BYB dancers will also weave dance history, choreography and terminology into the program. The learning of technique and skills will be demonstrated in a performance for families on the final day.
