The Art of the Cocktail, a mixology event, will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, at the Bay School Community Arts Center on Main Street in Mathews. Participants will discover the artistry behind the perfect drink, said a press release, with mocktails available for designated drivers. There will be live demonstrations by a special guest mixologist, who will lead interactive 15-minute demonstrations, sharing insider tips on infusing liquors, selecting garnishes, creating simple syrups, and more. “Sample these creations and learn how to craft cocktails that are as beautiful as they are delicious,” said a press release. During the second hour, participants will mix their own masterpieces using curated ingredients, tools, and techniques. Winners will be chosen in such categories as Crowd Favorite, Best Presentation, and Most Creative Name. Snacks will be available to complement the cocktails.
