AYA Piano Trio to perform Friday at Arts at Abingdon

The AYA Piano Trio will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Abingdon Episcopal Church, Route 17, White Marsh, in the Arts at Abingdon Concert Series.Admission is free, with a free-will offering accepted. No reservations are required.

The trio got its start at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where members “stud{y}ies under some of the greatest chamber musicians and soloists in the world,” said a press release.

The trio has won many prizes, including first prize in the Yellow Springs Chamber Music Competition and finalist in the Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition.

AYA made its Beethoven Triple Concerto debut with Maestro Leif Bjaland and the Waterbury Symphony in Connecticut and has performed in multiple prestigious concert series, including a debut recital in the newly-opened Parker Concert Hall of Brevard Music Center in North Carolina, Merkin Concert Hall of New York City, Dame Myra Hess memorial concert series in Chicago, and Washington Performing Arts series in...
