Friends of Machicomoco State Park is partnering with the NASA Skywatchers to put on the first Astronomy in the Park event at Machicomoco State Park on Saturday, May 17, from 8:30 to 11 p.m.
The event area will be a three-minute walk down a lit trail from the Trailhead Parking area at the park. The $5 per vehicle park entry fee can be paid at the self-pay station located at the entrance of the park. The event is weather dependent.
