The Friends of Machicomoco State Park and NASA Skywatchers are partnering as hosts of the third Astronomy in the Park event at Machicomoco State Park in Hayes from 8-10 p.m. on Saturday, April 25. View the night sky with the amateur astronomy group based out of NASA Langley. The Skywatchers will have telescopes on hand to view the Moon, Uranus and other distant night sky objects. Youth in attendance will have a chance to participate in a contest to win a telescope to take home at a later date. Music in the Park In partnership with Virginia State Parks, Friends of Machicomoco State Park hosts Music in the Park from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. This open-air performance will feature Hunter Owens and Three Creeks Down from Mathews.
