Arts Speaks on the Bay winners announced

Jack Banks received Best in Show—the Friends of David and Valerie Adams Award—for his acrylic painting, Rappahannock River: 2 Consecutive 30 Minute Studies, in the Bay School Community Arts Center’s sixth Art Speaks on the Bay Juried Art Show.

Winners in the two-dimensional category were Mark Miltz, first place (the Dorothy Gould Abare Award) for his oil painting, Kathy X; Joann Lawson, second place (the Zane Edwards Award) for her acrylic piece, Mechanicsville Landscape; Gary Edmondson, third place (the George Burbank Walker Award) for his acrylic painting, Race to the Finish.

Winners in the three-dimensional category were Katherine Maloney, first place (the Chris McCann Award) for her stoneware piece, Resolution; Lee Hazelgrove, second place (the Edgar Brown Award) for his pit-fired ceramic vessel, A Delicate Balance; Shirley Gromen, third place (the Claire S. Jones Award) for her porcelain piece, Blowtoads.
