Art reception Friday in Tappahannock

The Tappahannock Artists’ Guild will hold a reception from 5-7 p.m. Friday to showcase the works of local but widely renowned wood sculptor John Vaughan.

The reception at the Guild’s gallery at 200 Prince Street opens his show “Treasures” which runs until March 3 and features a collection of folk art and signature pine furniture made by him and his son Brackett at the Hoskins Creek Table Company in Tappahannock. The community is invited to meet the artist and enjoy his work. Light refreshments will be served and there is no cost to attend. ...
