Anthony “Tony” Evans, 61, of Shacklefords, passed away August 30, 2020. He was an avid Elvis fan who loved to sing karaoke and play video games. Tony retired after 32 years of service with GPC at Cheatham Annex.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Glenn Evans and Bonnie Sherman Merkle. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cheryl Ann Stewart Evans; a daughter, Brandy McKee (Chris); three sisters, two brothers; two sisters-in-law; brother-in-law; many longtime very close coworkers, and two cats, Buffy and Eden.

A private memorial service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Tony’s memory to the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, P.O. Box 385, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
