Another week, another pair of shutout wins

Another week and another pair of shutout victories for the Gloucester High School varsity field hockey team, which took down Jamestown, 8-0, on Thursday and Woodside, 10-0, on Tuesday, extending its record to 9-0.

Against Jamestown, Channy Johnson led the team offensively with three goals and two assists. Reese Miller knocked in two goals of her own while Mackenzie Reece, Hannah Symonds and Peyton Sutton had one goal each. Ainslee Brown led the team in assists with three. Bayleigh Wilson had two assists while Reece, Kaylee Hall and Kamryn McDonough each had one assist each.

Against Woodside it was Reece who led the offense recording a hattrick and four assists. Johnson scored two of the team’s goals and had a team high of five assists. Hall scored a pair of goals while Miller, Brown and Avery Watkins scored one each. Miller also had two assists. Watkins, Sutton and McKayla Clark also recorded assists.
