Alternatives offered for payment of tax bills

Gloucester County Treasurer Tara Thomas issued a reminder this week that the first installment of 2020 Real Estate, Personal Property and Manufactured Home tax bills will be mailed out this month.

The first installment tax bills are due on Tuesday, June 30. However, on May 19, in an effort to accommodate those in economically stressed situations, the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors voted to waive the penalty and interest for 45 days following the due date.

Therefore, taxpayers will have until Aug. 14 to pay first installment 2020 tax bills without penalty or interest. This waiver does not apply to prior year bills that are already past due.
