A profitable program at Bethel Church

Quite a crowd gathered at Bethel Church on Sunday night last to witness one of the most illustrious melodramatics that has ever taken place there. In the program were recitations by Charlie and Christine Hudgins, Jessie Campbell, Evelyne Lilly, Harvey Brooks and Leonard Morse, and duets by Mary S. and Andie Minter and Sarah Thomas and Eunice Hudgins. One of the most liberal collections that has ever been taken around here was received, and in it was a five dollar gold piece, given by a friend for promptitude of exercises. We thank him very much. Hope it was interesting to all.

Mr. Charles Heath left Monday, May 20 for New York for the purpose of accompanying his yacht down to his home “Auburn” on the North River. It is a cruising model, 65 feet long and 13 feet beam.
