There are still a few tickets available for the Abingdon Ruritan Club’s fundraising Seafood Festival on Oct. 15. They will be available until Saturday, Sept. 27. No tickets will be sold at the gate.
This popular event is an all-you-can eat and drink event. Food includes oysters fried, roasted and on the half-shell, clam chowder, clam fritters and on the half-shell, scallops fried and grilled, shrimp steamed and grilled, fried fish, steamed crabs, BBQ with coleslaw, hush puppies, French fries, wine and cheese, cake and ice cream. Beverages include water, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. Alcoholic beverages include beer, wine and mixed drinks.
The band, “Brass Wind” will provide music for listening and dancing. Parking, as well as the food and beverages, are included in the price of the ticket. Tickets are $75 each and may be purchased at any of these local merchants located on Route 17: Milk Panda Café, Tillage Automotive, Whitley’s Peanuts, Weatherwax Insurance and Hogge Real Estate.
