Capacity crowds filled Mathews High School grounds and more people gathered from miles around last Wednesday night to watch the 21st annual Mathews Fireworks Celebration. The Mathews July 4 fireworks show has developed a reputation as one of the best in the region. Before the fireworks begin, there are family-friendly activities such as a parade and entertainment, and there is always food.
