Thursday SOCIAL SERVICES: The Gloucester County Board of Social Services will meet at 7:30 this morning, Thursday, June 18, in the Social Services Conference Room, 6641 Short Lane. DINOSAUR DISCOVERY: Virginia Living Museum will bring Dinosaur Discovery to Gloucester Library at Main Street Center at 1 o’clock today, Thursday, June 18. Examine fossils, discover ways dinosaurs survived, and meet modern-day animal ambassadors to see these adaptations in action. CARNIVAL: The Gloucester Summer Carnival kicks off today, Thursday, June 18, at the Old Page School Grounds (5644 George Washington Memorial Highway). The carnival is open from 5-9 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 2-10 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through June 28. Free admission with tickets and wristbands sold for rides and other games and attractions.SUPERVISORS: The Mathews County Board of Supervisors will meet at 6 o’clock tonight, Thursday, June 18, in the historic courthouse.
