Every freedom we have today in the greatest country on earth was bought with a high price. It all started with a ship full of men with a dream that landed right here on the James River. They were willing to sacrifice for a dream of a land dedicated to God. They passed on that dream and lead in a path of courage. As England encroached on the colony’s freedom, the dream of a nation under God with his blessing of freedom became a mission that countless people gave their lives, their fortune, and their sacred honor for. The bravery displayed by our founding fathers is something that I hope to have. Every war, every life given, every sacrifice for this country reminds me of a duty that I carry as a proud American to stand up for what’s right and fight to preserve the sacred sacrifice our heroes gave just so the next generation would have freedom.
