Local fishermen have brought home a number of fishing citations in recent weeks, as reported in the most recent issue of vasaltwaterjournal.com. Catch-and-release citations went to: Caleb Barrs of Hayes, a blue marlin and a white marlin caught trolling Sept. 20 in Norfolk Canyon; Tyler Johnson of Gloucester, a white marlin caught trolling in Norfolk Canyon on Sept. 20; Ashley Laing of Hayes, a 48-inch red drum caught Oct. 10 in the lower York River; James L. Riley Jr. of Gloucester, a 50-inch red drum caught Oct. 6 in Chesapeake Bay. Riley also received citations for two sheepshead that he caught and took home on Oct. 6, both in Chesapeake Bay. One weighed 11 pounds, 1 ounce, and one weighed 13 pounds, 10 ounces.  Blueline tilefish brought citations to two local anglers fishing Sept. 21 in Norfolk Canyon. Alvin McGlohn Jr. of Gloucester hooked a 12-pounder, and Thomas Jeffrey Hutner of Hayes also hauled in a tilefish weighing 12 pounds....
