8U Outlaws win season opener

The Gloucester Outlaws 8U football team started its season off with a 20-6 win over Westmoreland on Saturday.

Thanks to a strong performance from the offensive line of the Outlaws, the team’s running game was effective. Isaac White recorded 80 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Anthony Hodges ran for 50 yards and caught one touchdown of his own. Quarterback J.J. Koch had six yards rushing and had one completion for a touchdown.

The defense kept Westmoreland out of the game thanks to performances from Grayson Santana, Hunter Andrews, Noah Sterling and Preslee Ballantyne.
