7 GHS football players, coach honored by Peninsula District

Seven Gloucester High School senior football players received All Peninsula District honors and Dukes’ first-year head coach John Scalf was named the Peninsula District Coach of the Year. 

Gloucester quarterback Isaiah Spencer received Offensive Player of the Year honors and was named to the first team. Spencer tweeted this week he will attend Old Dominion University. Defensive end Cameron Walker was also named to the first team. 

Named to the offensive unit second team were lineman Jake Dryer and receiver Eliel Donald. Spencer was named to the second team as an offensive all-purpose player.

Defensive end Charles Williams, linebacker Peyton Carneal and defensive back Allah Armstead were also named to the second team. 

In addition, honorable mentions went to senior Noah Kuehn and junior Joe Conroy.  ...
