26-year-old motorcyclist dies in Gloucester accident

A 26-year-old Hayes man died following a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle that took place at approximately 2 p.m. last Thursday on Route 17 in Gloucester County, according to the Virginia State Police.
The motorcycle was travelling southbound on Route 17, south of Brother Sam Road, and a 2017 Toyota Camry was exiting a shopping center, when a collision occurred.
Trent A. Green, the driver of the motorcycle, suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital, according to the police report. The driver later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Camry was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation, according to Matthew Demlein of the VSP. This was the first traffic fatality of 2026 in Gloucester County....
