The Gloucester County Democratic Committee held its annual Seafood Dinner and Fundraiser on Sept. 18 at the Abingdon Ruritan Club in Bena, with over 190 people in attendance.
Pam Garner, chair of the committee, was the emcee, opening the program with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by singing of the National Anthem, led by Margaret Jones. Highlights of the evening included the seafood dinner by Shelly Williams Catering and music by the Gloucester classic rock band Joey & The Jammers, said a press release. The Silent Auction, the major fundraiser for the Gloucester Democratic Committee, offered over 60 items for bidding.
Roberta “Bobby” Ray was presented with the annual Eldridge N. Cook Impact Award, which recognizes an individual who has been a positive and ongoing influence on the Gloucester community.
