Churches throughout the region have been meeting over the summer to find ways to encourage the middle and high school youth of the community to become more involved in their churches and to socialize with each other.
Six different denominational churches—Abingdon Episcopal, Bellamy United Methodist, Grace Covenant Presbyterian, Newington Baptist and the Church of St. Therese in Gloucester, and the Church of the Visitation in Topping, the latter two Roman Catholic congregations—invite youth to a gathering for a night of games from 6-8:30 Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Grace Covenant Church on Main Street, Gloucester.
There will be outdoor and indoor games for everyone. Those with handheld electronic games are invited to bring them also. Hot dogs, chips, s’mores and beverages will be available.
