The third annual Yorktown Tea Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown.
This full-day celebration invites guests to discover the global story of tea—from its cultural roots to its political impact on the eve of the American Revolution. Enjoy hands-on workshops, expert talks, historical interpretations, and several opportunities to taste and treasure unique blends.
At 9:30 a.m., Andrea Post, co-owner of CaryTown Teas in Richmond, will give the keynote presentation. In her program, she will explore French tea culture, blending, scenting, and the nation’s contribution to the world of tea.
At 3 p.m., participants are invited to meet “Abigail Adams.” One of America’s most influential women will “spill the tea” on people she’s met, the stories she’s heard, and the scandals of her time—all while guests enjoy tea with scones and other sweet treats.
