Works sought for Bay School’s ‘Bay of Secrets’ fundraiser

The Bay School Community Arts Center has issued a call for artists to submit works for the center’s new fundraiser, “Bay of Secrets.” Artists are being asked to collect a canvas at the Bay School, create a work of art, and return it, unsigned, as a donation for the Bay of Secrets Soirée on June 20. Two canvas sizes are available: 8”x8” for artists of any age and skill level, with a maximum of two canvases per artist. Professional artists may choose to take two 12”x12” canvases, but not both sizes. During the reveal on June 20, each 8”x8” canvas will be sold for $100, while each 12”x12” will be used for a silent auction. All funds will go to support the Bay School and its programs. Canvases may be picked up at the Bay School, 279 Main Street, Mathews, through May 30 and must be returned no later than June 15, along with the entry form. Artwork labels must be attached to the back of each canvas and given to staff only. For more information, visit bayschool-arts.com or call 804-725-1278....
