Workboat reunion

Hudgins Horn Harbor Marina at Port Haywood was the location for Saturday’s annual workboat reunion, giving visitorsa chance to appreciate the craftsmanship of the shipwrights who built these floating works of art. Here, Ted Parish, whoowns the Nellie Crockett with his wife Mimi, chats with Bill and Chris Burry, from left. The Nellie Crockett is celebratingits centennial this year, while Bill and Chris Burry, who own a big sailboat in Mathews, were standing aboard the F.D.Crockett, a Chesapeake Bay deck boat owned by the Deltaville Maritime Museum, which had its 100th birthday last year. The workboat reunion also served as Maritime Heritage Day for the Mathews Maritime Museum, with its boat, The Peggy, also at the reunion....
