Guinea Heritage Association will be offering its Wonders of the Water program at Buck’s Store Museum from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 26. The program is free and open to children ages 5-10 years.
This special program is designed to teach young children about the watermen’s way of life. In small groups, they will learn how to identify different types of boats, how to clean a fish, how to tong for oysters, how crab pots are made and work, how to pick a crab, boat safety, how to tie a knot, and more.
