Wisteria Lane Antiques celebrates 10th anniversary

Wisteria Lane Antiques & Collectibles, located on Main Street in Gloucester, will celebrate its 10th anniversary in business Saturday. Refreshments and product discounts are planned.

Karen Arey, who owns the business with her husband Bob, said they sell both new and used items. A large front showroom and several smaller rooms to the rear house an assortment of jewelry, baskets, silverware, glassware, antiques, artwork, and items for the bedroom and kitchen, as well as some children’s items.

“I really am not sure how we got into this business,” she said. But having operated 10 years here—preceded by running an antique shop for two years in her native Long Island, N.Y., Arey said she and her husband have discovered some good sources for items they sell in their store. They also handle custom orders, taking lists of customers’ specific requests when they go on shopping trips.
