William Power Hackett Jr. of Dutton, Va., beloved husband of 67 years to Louise Brennan Hackett, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015.

Bill was born in Richmond, Va., on Dec. 8, 1927. He was employed by C&O Railroad, later CSX, for 42 years, and moved to Gloucester County to enjoy the life he loved on the Piankatank River. He was devoted to his family.

He is survived by his wife, Louise; along with three sons, Donald B. Hackett and wife Kristen of Rome, Ga., Michael L. Hackett and wife Judith of Gloucester, Va., and Terry S. Hackett and wife Laurel of Richmond, Va.; grandchildren, Karissa Hackett of Rome, Jessi Hackett of Rome, and Tracey Martin of Richmond, and sister, Mary Ann Carr of Haymarket, Va.

Services for Bill will be private at a later date.
