The Baystars U11 Whitecaps traveled to the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex in Virginia Beach over the weekend to take on the Beach FC Pre-NPL TL Wolves. The Whitecaps defeated their opponents, 1-0. The lone goal was scored by Ronen Lane, assisted by Noah Ford. On defense, goalkeepers Triffon Luechauer and Ford recorded four and two saves, respectively, to secure the shutout win. This marks the team’s first win of the fall season and its inaugural win in the Virginia National Premier League. Having moved from the Tidewater Advanced Soccer League this fall, the U11 team is the youngest team that Baystars has ever fielded at the NPL level. The Whitecaps will host an event Saturday at Woodville Park during the Baystars’ games, offering concessions to help raise funds for upcoming tournament fees.
