The Ware Academy softball team defeated the Mathews High School JV softball team, 13-2, in a scrimmage Monday afternoon in Mathews. Elise Elliott, shown above, struck out 10 Lady Blue Devils over six innings. Charlee Bellinger, Piper Ward, Faith Scott and Elliott picked up runs for the Waves. Elliott, Amelia Reynolds, Anna Foster and Reylan Miltenberger all recorded RBIs for Ware. Elise also stole three bases in the game....
