Ware seeks to make school year as normal as possible

The Ware Academy faculty and staff have made this school year as normal as possible for students, including providing winter and spring athletic seasons.

Michael Cunningham, Ware’s Athletic Director, searched high and low for teams willing to play sports under COVID-19 restrictions. Ware varsity basketball teams were able to play eight games this season, competing with schools in surrounding areas. Now Cunningham is preparing for volleyball and baseball.

“We played some teams we don’t normally play. It is important to challenge our athletes and to allow them to grow,” said Cunningham. Several students in Ware’s graduating class will play high school sports at Christchurch School or local public high schools.
