The sixth annual Mathews Marathon, Half Marathon, and Relay drew 160 participants—a record high—to this year’s race events early Saturday morning. Each race began and ended in the historic Court House area. “The weather was brutal on Saturday with the storm rolling in just after the race started at 7 a.m.,” said Mathews Outdoor Club president Christine Johnson. “The runners all kept their spirits high and our volunteers on the course were simply amazing.
