Virtual trainings offered in parenting, opioid overdose, suicide prevention

The Prevention, Health and Wellness Division of the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board has a number of upcoming virtual trainings and classes.

The ongoing Nurturing Parenting Program is held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesdays. The cost is $25 for the handbook, plus $25 per person for each 15-week session. Parents can enroll in the class at any time.

Children First co-parenting classes are being offered at the following times: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27; 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22; and 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20.

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) trainings are offered from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11.

REVIVE-Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education training will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Aug. 11. Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention training will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18.
