The Mathews High School Marching Blue Devils traveled to Hermitage High School in Richmond on Saturday, where they performed before judges in their Virginia Band & Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA) State Assessment performance. They received an Excellent (II) Rating, receiving solid Excellent scores from every music and visual judge. The band will end its field show season this Saturday performing in Class AA competition against Varina and Deep Creek high schools at the Kecoughtan Warrior Classic at Darling Stadium in Hampton.
