Two homes added to sewer extension project

Two homes that were originally left out of the first phase of the Terrapin Cove sewer extension project will now be served by the project, thanks to a consensus on the matter from the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors at its work session Tuesday night in the colonial courthouse.

The board also requested that county staff take bids to also proceed with sewer extension to Azalea Point Road, which was initially supposed to be completed in a second phase of the project.

Supervisors directed the utilities department to move forward with the Terrapin Cove sewer project at its August meeting. The initial phase of the project was intended to install sewers along Holly and Laurel drives, providing service to all properties on those streets except for two homes. Initially, those residences would have been provided service when phase two is installed from Azalea Point.
