The Gloucester High School crew joined 14 other teams for the final Mathews High School regatta of the season at Williams Wharf on Saturday. The Duke rowers entered 24 of 46 events and had eight standout results.

On the men’s side, the varsity four A boat with Logan Hutson, David Collins, Chris Boehm, Kenny Giddings and coxswain Matt Hendrix finished second behind the host Blue Devils. The varsity four B boat with Jacob Cheatham, Joel Kidd, Adam Hedrick, Jeremy Frush and coxswain Kyle Mielnik won its race and also took the men’s junior four event.

On the women’s side, the varsity A boat with Kristen Hickman, Elizabeth Keane, Kendall Worland, Elaina Arsenovic and Matt Hendrix at coxswain won its event once again. The GHS women’s juniors raced in the varsity four and junior four events and placed second and first, respectively. The Gloucester novice crews also had good showings in their last races of the season.
