Trinket Trade comes to Gloucester in front of The Nook bookstore

The inaugural Gloucester Trinket Trade was installed last Thursday by resident Arye Lundy in front of The Nook, a bookstore and gift shop, on Gloucester Main Street. “I was always told to leave a place better than you found it,” said Lundy. A community-minded person, Lundy has been searching for a way to give back since moving to Gloucester six years ago. After seeing trinket boxes pop up in the Richmond area and on social media, Lundy decided to create her own to share with the community since Gloucester did not have one. “I’m a big fan of community,” she said. “This was my way to become more involved.” Lundy filled the box with keychains, stickers, Pokémon cards, toy cars and more last week. “There’s not a single thing left that I’ve put in it,” she said. The rules of the trinket box are simple.
